There is a myth on the internet about blogger being unsafe to use because it is controlled and owned by Google.  People often say not to use blogger because Google may shut down  your blog at any moment.  But the truth is if you use Google Blogger by following the rules you will never have to  worry about that.  Because it is free and easy to use it is the preferred method to get started with especially if  you are new to blogging.  You can jump in and get your feet wet without spending time or money you may not have.

On the other hand, Wordpress is more time consuming and comes with an extra expense.  Unless you want to use the free version of Wordpress which is also considered unstable by many you will need a domain name and a hosting account. When you have obtained these items you can install the blog itself. Once you have finished with everything you have your own space on the web.  This is your space and no one can take your blog away for any reason.  Of course this is providing you don’t do something illegal.

Conclusion:  If you want easy and free and something perfect to give blogging a try then decide to use blogger. But if you want your own blog on your own space on the internet and something more permanent then Wordpress is for you.
